Cyber security and Privacy

Thanks, Jason Wood, past president of the Auckland Chapter of ISACA (IT Systems and Control Association), for inviting me to the briefing from the Vice President of the Sydney Chapter, Chirag Joshi, on the state of Cyber regulation in Australia. Here are a couple of quotes he referred to, to underline how seriously the authorities are taking the situation. Failing to meet regulation standards of cyber security and privacy, he claims, is a significant issue around the Board table.

In subsequent discussions, transparent and consistent materiality assessment was seen as urgently needed to ensure that the Board is responding to these demands.
